Dear Keith,

Just wanted you to know that another good evening happened to me at Black Bear Casino. I won 40 stones and made some of my friends jealous.

They changed their shuffle since the last time I was there. Are you familliar with the "butterfly" shuffle. I know a dealer and he said that it was used to "unclump" the cards better. So the clumps were harder to detect. I owe the 40 to the betting strategy section. I used a negative progression and went from 15 down to forty up.

Thanks agian for the system and when I think of some good questions for you I'll send 'em off to you.

After reading Keith's manual twice and listening to the tape I went to the casino to try it out. The material came easy to me and I felt that, though, I wouldn't be able to play it all perfectly I could play it well enough to give it a try. I did not use the betting strategy detailed in BJ101 but instead used the negative progression Keith talks about. I'll be re-reading it this weekend, looking for things I missed and will try again this coming week.

  Table Selection was nil; such is the nature of Foxwoods. They keep them pretty tight. I just played first base at tables that opened up, i.e.; people had left because they lost.

  In general the negative progression of 1-4-6 really paid off. I usually started with a 1-2-3 until I felt comfortable. On one table I changed the progression to 1-1-4-6 because I tended to lose 3 in a row. One table I had a winning streak of 7 in a row but failed to exploit because I wasn't attentive enough.

  In one game the "clump" strategy really paid off and was the only reason I won money there and did capitalize on a nice "zipper". In general, though, due to the nature of the cards I was playing basic strategy most of the time.

  Insurance - I love it. Once I was able to predict insurance and took it for myself and 3 other players. A very nice win. Out of the other dealer A's I was only wrong once and did not buy insurance. A good bet!
